What is an X‑Jet?
An X‑Jet is an external‑injection nozzle that uses venturi suction at the nozzle to pull solution from a short pickup hose and mix it with your pressure washer stream. Because the chemical mixes after the pump, no detergent passes through your pump, high‑pressure hose, or gun.
Equipment selection notes: X‑Jet assemblies are sized by your machine’s flow (GPM). The M5 version adds a twist‑to‑adjust spray pattern for quick switching between long‑range reach and a gentle fan for close‑up rinsing. Match the orifice to your pressure washer’s flow. If you are between sizes, many pros choose the smaller orifice for stronger chemical draw and consistent performance.

Avoid oversizing. An orifice that is too large for your GPM can reduce or stop chemical draw. Test with water first, wear appropriate PPE, and be mindful of overspray and wind.
Dial in your mix ratio
Proportioner tips restrict the suction at the nozzle barb to change how much chemical is drawn from your pail. Start mild and increase strength only as needed for the surface and soil load.
- Push the selected proportioner into the hose barb before attaching the pickup hose.
- Confirm draw using water in the pail; then switch to your cleaning mix.
- Use a simple bucket test to estimate draw: run for a set time and compare water used to chemical removed.
- Always rinse metals, glass, and sensitive surfaces thoroughly after dwell.
