This 12v Replacement Transformer with a CAD Cell for a Beckett Burner is an electronic sparking device that provides the spark to ignite the Burner.
To test your existing transformer, we recommend the following steps:
- Remove the Transformer
- Connect it a compatible Power Source such as a car battery
- Using an insulated screwdriver and gripping the insulated part of the screwdriver to avoid shock, touch the transformer coils
- If you see a “spark arc” from each coil, the transformer is still good
